Like to try somewhere new in the Alps? There are so many wonderful ski resorts and areas, many of them unheard of. Here are some suggestions of places that we like and think are definitely worth considering. Upon request, we’re happy to look after you there too.
With cobbled streets and a medieval feel, Megève is a magical well-kept secret offering an interesting and vast ski area with something for everyone.
When snow conditions are good, Megève is one of the best !
One of the off-piste meccas, Val d’isère has good high altitude skiing and a snowy microclimate.
It also offers fantastic après-ski with bars, restaurants and the infamous Folie Douce,
renowned for its “party everyday” DNA.
Not a very beautiful resort but Tignes does offer many great slopes, endless off-piste possibilities and guaranteed snow thanks to a high altitude location. Recommended for all levels of skiers and boarders from late November until early May.
Including the famous Col de la Madeleine, Val Morel has great skiing for all levels both on and off piste. With a quaint and Disney like feel, the main street of shops and restaurants is pedestrianised and always buzzing. Recommended for families.
A haven for expert backcountry skiers, La Grave is renowned for its steep slopes. The small resort is overlooked by the majestic and stunning La Meije. If you can ski anything and want a new challenge, then La Grave should be on your bucket list!
